Stories in Motion
Would your children like to wish on a star, carry moon beams home in a jar… and create wonderful stories while dancing to beautiful music in their own unique costumes? With attention to nourishing the creative process in each child, instructor Helene Nilsen integrates the creative storytelling aspects of movement while we incorporate some very basic elements of ballet in this class.
Your youngster can skip, leap, and twirl their way through the basics of ballet. Young dancers will begin to use the ballet barre, dance with props (ribbons, scarves, etc.), and learn movements that incorporate simple concepts of classical ballet. Each class ends with a story created and danced by the children.
